    Console Musings

    Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

I just trawled through my Gamefly queue, looking at upcoming releases and massaging my queue (i.e. moving all the DS games to the top in anticipation of GDC) and I thought I’d take a quick nose count of games I’m interested in checking out during the first half of the year, seeing which of my [...]

    Sorting Through Minutia

    Monday, November 26th, 2007

    1. Well, I’m forty. It doesn’t so much feel odd to be forty as it feels odd that my age is forty.
1a. Don’t forget to join the Round Table, before it’s too late!
    2. I have a rule now. If the game was specifically designed for the Wii, I will play it on the Wii. Otherwise, [...]

    NiGHTS Details

    Wednesday, April 4th, 2007

Perhaps NiGHTS needs its own category here at MBB, eh? Well, suffice to say that I am very interested in this game’s development. So far, I muchly like what I see. Particularly that last detail down there to which I’ve added some extra font weight…
    ‘Persona’ masks open new possibilities
Three sets of masks give the player [...]

No News Had Better Not Be Bad News…

    Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

According to the Opera site (link):
Opera and Nintendo today confirmed that the Opera-powered Internet Channel for Wii will be available in April 2007, rather than in late March as previously announced. The final release date in April remains to be determined.
Opera and Nintendo are continuing to finalize what promises to be the ultimate Web [...]

    Opoona

    Tuesday, March 20th, 2007

Here’s the Japanese trailer for an upcoming Wii game, Opoona. I read somewhere that they’re using a control system which only utilizes the nunchuck. I don’t know if that’s accurate or not, but it looks like a charming, must own title regardless!

    SWiit!

    Thursday, March 1st, 2007

¡Muy caliente, amigos! ¡Es hora para nosotros de bailar en las calles!
WiiCade is proud to announce the immediate availability of software that unlocks Nintendo Wii Remote functionality previously unavailable to online video games. This Application Programmer Interface (API) allows Flash developers to utilize the full range of buttons on the wireless remote device. Additionally, the [...]

    Wii News

    Friday, January 26th, 2007

The Wii News channel is live as of this morning and after a brief download, I got the opportunity to give it a quick once over. The interface is nowhere near as convenient as an RSS reader, but it’s a fun toy. You can select a type of news you’re interested in from listings such [...]

    UI Uniformity and the Wii

    Friday, January 5th, 2007

I know I mentioned a post about compartmentalization and secrecy, but that’s going to have to wait. Consider this a precursor…
Having put the cast of Big Lebowski up on Mii Plaza (link), I’m being deluged with friend requests by people who also want to reenact some juicy John Goodman madness. You can ask Ms. Knittiot, [...]
