  • Q: How do I get my post included?
A: First, you need to include the attached bit of code at the bottom of your post (ed. I tried to post the code here, but for formatting reasons, it wasn’t working. The link in the preceding sentence links to a text document. I assure you that it’s completely safe). It is important that you change two values in that code. The first value to change is MMYY which should be changed to the two digit numeric month and year of the Round Table you’re joining. The second is CCCCCC which should be changed to the six digit hex RGB value of the background of your blog.

Second, let me know your post is up and I’ll make sure you get included in the drop down list.

Q: Why do I need to make those changes to the code?
A: The first change will make sure you’re linking to the correct Round Table and the second will ensure the navigation drop down box blends nicely with your site, making this whole affair seem slightly professional.

Q: How do I find the RGB value of my background?
A: Well, it may be declared in the body tag of you site, or it might be in the CSS. If it’s in the CSS and is only 3 digits, you must type each digit twice. So, if your background color is listed as b93, you must replace CCCCCC with bb9933). If you have no idea what I’m talking about, send an e-mail to Man Bytes Blog with a link to your site. I’ll find the information for you.

Q: Shouldn’t the RGB value include a pound sign?
A: Do not add a hash, or pound sign (#), to the color value. I do that on the other end.

Q: How do I let you know my post is up?
A: Send a permalink via the Contact Me page of Man Bytes Blog or send an email to manbytesblog@pjsattic.com and I’ll add you to the table!
